John O’Groats to Lands End on a CG125?

Sep 26th, 2009 | By Sausage King | Category: News

A 2000 mile trip from John O’Groats to Lands End on a 125cc Honda CG125. Perhaps I’m mad but this looks like a great opportunity to meet some of the finest sausage makers in the country.

We are planning on taking it easy and covering 300 miles or so a day.

Do you think we will make it? Is my brother-in-law mad to be joining me on a Honda C90? Get in touch and let me know what you think.

Norwich battle of the bangers

Sep 25th, 2009 | By Sausage King | Category: News

This year the line up at the Norwich battle of the bangers looks stronger then ever. Frank Spurgeon Ltd will be looking to win the double like last year (the people’s choice and expert’s choice) but competition is stiff with some new entrants including The FruitPig Company.

Be at the Forum in Norwich on the 3rd of October from 9.30am to sample these fine sausages for yourself and to cast your vote on who should win this year’s Battle of the Bangers! Tune into Radio Norfolk to hear me providing a commentary / information on the day.

Black Farmer’s Cookbook

Sep 20th, 2009 | By Sausage King | Category: News

Earlier in the week I got a copy of the Black Farmer’s Cookbook which is brilliant!

Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones paints a lovely picture both with his words and vivid images of farm and food scenes.

If you love cookery you will love this book. Wilfred has a real passion which comes across in the book very strongly.
